IRIZ KanjiBase for Windows

Developed by Christian Wittern in the framework of the Zen KnowledgeBase project, this is a unique new method to supplement lacking Chinese characters in existing national codes (and Unicode) by SGML-style placeholders that are both standardized and system-independent.

Based on the Taiwanese government's CNS code (so far 48,000 characters), the IRIZ KanjiBase makes it possible to have access to all of these characters for word processing and database use on ordinary personal computers. It is designed for your habitual Windows environment (for example Japanese, Taiwanese, mainland Chinese, or Korean) and provides a wealth of information about these characters; additionally, you can paste, view, and print all of them in your documents.
