to Overview
IRIZ GaijiSet
Created by K. Fujimoto in the framework of the Zen KnowledgeBase project, this is a set of ca. 700 characters that often occur in Zen sources but are lacking in the Japanese JIS and Taiwanese Big-5 codes. They are found in the FONTS directory (both TrueType and Postscript available).
- Installation on the Mac: drag all files (ZenAgai, ZenBgai, etc.) onto your System folder.
- Installation on Windows: follow the usual procedure for installing fonts.
For a list of all included characters see the Electronic Bodhidharma No. 4. You can also look at the Nisus macro (KanjiBase2gaiji) included in the Macro folder which converts all KanjiBase codes inside the corrected texts to Zengaiji set characters.
Appeal diacritic font (Mac)
Scholars in Buddhist studies have to use many characters with diacritics that are lacking in ordinary fonts. This font for the Macintosh by Urs App contains all diacritics you are likely to need; it is modeled on (and largely compatible with) the Norman font butÅ@--apart from its more elegant design-- contains quite a number of additions and emendations for use in East Asian studies.
For the Mac, list of all characters and keys is found in the Appeal folder. The same list is also published in the Electronic Bodhidharma No. 4.
